Getting Started
-
Yes — the Discovery Call is free, with no obligation attached, purely to talk through your project and see if we're a good fit. If you'd like something more substantial before deciding on a bigger package, the Sounding Board Consultation gives you focused, paid advice without committing to anything larger.
-
Not at all. Most people come to me with a mix of ideas, half-made decisions, and a sense that something isn't quite working, rather than a neat brief. That's completely normal — it's exactly what the process is designed for. We start with a conversation and work out the direction together.
-
You don't need to work that out yourself. Tell me a little about your home and where you're feeling stuck, and I'll recommend the most sensible place to start.
-
I'm based in Highgate, North London, and work with residential clients across North London and the wider Greater London area. In-home visits currently extend to Cambridge as well. Anything purely online — mood boards, concepts, consultations — I can do wherever you're based.
About
Interior Architecture
-
Interior design is about how a room looks, feels and functions day to day — furniture, colour, materials, layout. Interior architecture deals with the underlying structure: walls, openings, built-in elements, how spaces connect. Some projects only need one; plenty need a blend of both. You don't have to figure out which camp your project falls into before reaching out — that's something we work out together, early on
-
I don't believe in imposing a single “look” on every project. I'm more interested in how you live, what you're drawn to, what you already own, and what would make everyday life easier. The result should feel warm, functional and quietly considered — a home that feels lived-in, not “done.”
-
It depends on what you're changing — cosmetic updates usually won't trigger anything, but structural changes might. It's worth flagging early in our conversation so I can point you in the right direction, and where needed, bring in the right specialists alongside the design work.
Services & Pricing
-
The short answer is: Me. I prefer to look after each Client personally to be able to provide a fully tailored and personal service, based on my over 20 years experience in interior design and architecture and working on award-winning projects across Europe.
-
I offer a few different levels of support, depending on how much help you need and where you are in your project: from sounding board consultations and simple design directions, to room design concepts with specifications and full interior design services. I also provide personal shopping services for furniture, lighting and decorations, for when you just need some advice or a second opinion.
-
Costs scale with the level of support you need. Smaller, well-defined services have set prices — for instance, a one-off consultation starts at £195, and a full concept for a single room starts at £995. Larger, multi-room or whole-home projects are quoted individually once I understand the scope, since fees there depend on complexity and how much procurement or project management is involved.
-
Both, depending on the service. Defined packages — like a room concept or a consultation — are priced as a flat fee. Larger, open-ended projects usually combine a fixed fee per design stage with hourly rates for project management or works where scope is less defined. Personal shopping is charged hourly, bookable in 2, 3 or 4-hour blocks.
-
Yes — this is part of the Full Interior Design Service, which covers everything from the initial site visit and concept through to procurement, liaison with contractors, and styling or final dressing. Fees are tailored to the size and complexity of the project.
The Process
-
It varies by scope. A consultation is a single session. A One-Room Concept generally plays out over a few steps across a few weeks. Larger, multi-room or whole-home projects run on their own timeline, mapped out together once I understand the size of what you're taking on.
-
It typically unfolds in four stages:
We talk — a relaxed conversation about your home and what isn't working, plus a short questionnaire to help me understand who you are and what you need.
We find the direction — I listen, ask questions, and help us land on a clearer direction together, with quick wins you can act on straight away.
We move things forward — depending on the service, this might be live advice, a room direction, a full concept, or a broader design plan, always with clear visuals and easy-to-follow guidance.
We review — once you've had time to look things over, we refine and fine-tune based on your feedback.
-
Yes, deliberately so. Not every project needs the same level of input — sometimes you genuinely just want a second opinion on a sofa, other times you're restructuring a whole home. There's a service to match each of those, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
-
A detailed mood board, two scaled layout options, 3D visuals of your chosen layout, a selection of product and finish/material spec suggestions, a 45-minute presentation, and a final PDF concept pack you can use as your roadmap — whether you brief a trade or implement it yourself.
-
As much or as little as you'd like. I actively involve clients in the process because it tends to lead to better, more personal outcomes — but the level of involvement can flex depending on the service and your availability.
Contractors,
Sourcing & Logistics
-
You're welcome to use your own — I'm happy to liaise with whoever you already have in place on the design intent, whether it’s architects, engineers or contractors. I am used to working with and directing diverse and extensive project teams. If you don't have anyone yet and want recommendations, that's something we can discuss as part of a fuller project.
-
I can, in a couple of ways. If you'd like a dedicated session purely for sourcing, that's a Personal Shopping session, charged hourly. If you're already working with me on a room or full home project, sourcing and specification can be folded into that instead. I am usually not involved in the actual purchase furniture or materials, but every detail up to that point.
